Yoga for Tight Hamstrings | SRMD Yoga



Tight hamstrings are common, particularly for desk workers who spend a lot of time sitting during the day. This group of muscles located at the rear of the upper leg, are used in our day-to-day activities such as walking, running and other physical activities. Tight hamstrings contribute to problems such as back pain and poor posture and also make you more prone to muscle strains. Atmarpit Shraddhaben is a seeker who has shifted from Antwerp, Belgium to India to pursue the spiritual path. She is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (ERYT) with Yoga Alliance. She completed her Yoga Teachers’ Training Course in classical ashtanga at Ayush Yogadarshanam in Mysuru and her Advanced Yoga Teachers’ Training course at Shiva Yoga Peeth in Rishikesh. Shraddhaben has been taking yoga sessions at Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram, Dharampur and the Mission’s Spiritual Centre in Mumbai.

SRMD Yoga is an initiative envisioned by Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshbhai as a means to augment a seeker’s spiritual progress and wellbeing by facilitating physical and mental health. Through asana, pranayama, mudra and other yoga techniques, the programme promotes a holistic way of living by aligning one’s mind, body and soul.
