  1. It's people like you that will save civilization. When the bees die, we all die. They pollinate our food. Thanks for your great work and videos! Steven

  2. Wow! my Package arrives in a week. Georgous comb. cant get that with a Lang. Please share more of how you did it with us.. Did you feed sugawater or pollen patties. What month did you install. Also I see no mention of tight layeing pattrerns and all the other stuff a bee keeper should be looking for. And what kind of bees are they Italians or Buckfast or… Just curioussince they seem to be doinf so well. Where is the entrance. Haow many bars in did you queen the Top bar etc. Thanks.

  3. Thank you for your interesting educational Video about bees in America!
Best greetings from beekeepers in Ukraine!
We also have special beehives with special top bars!
But these are not common top bar hives, but very different and effective 3-storey hives!
It's nice to share good experience and knowledge!
Best wishes of success in beekeeping, good honey harvesting and nice bees wintering in this season!
    with respect,

  4. How far do you let them go back in the hive? I just bought a top bar hive with bees and all from a guy moving and he has it 1/2 way blocked off.

  5. Wow, that's very impressive! It's been 9 days since I hived mine, and they've only pulled about 4 bars. I've had them plenty of sugar water available, and they have also been foraging. The queen is out and about, but I haven't yet noticed any eggs or capped brood.
How do you keep the comb straight? Mine have started all their combs crooked, at something like a 5 degree angle off the tongue in the top bar. How do I correct them?

  6. I cut some plastic wax foundation into strips and put it into a kerf i cut into the bars. I only did about ten. Once they had comb drawn out I would just put an empty bare between two full bars and the bees would do the rest.

  7. is a queen excluder used in a top bar hive and if so what type. could you show one in your next video. i plan to build a top bar this winter for use this year. thank you.

  8. Any plans or schematics for the TBH? Ive seen lots of ideas on the net, but yours look the best and most practical. My email is Schedule3@yahoo.com. I live in SLC

  9. @dragonhlm You must live in Bee Eden!!! The bees cannot build that fast here in New England. Look forward to future videos!
