  1. You're absolutely right – I did forget to mention that!

    You can get 'bar cleaners' made for the purpose, but anything flat that will fit will do. Always scrape the groove out from the nose sprocket end towards the open end – otherwise you'll end up putting gunge in to the sprocket bearings.

  2. He for got to clean the rail out on the bar, this hold's oil, use anything that will fit, run it the full lengh of the bar, black dirt will peal out.
