Lenovo IdeaPad S940 Review: An Exceptional Ultrabook and Master of Multimedia

Lenovo’s IdeaPad S940 is a seriously impressive Ultrabook. Thin, powerful, with a best-in-class display, it’s a laptop lover’s dream … with a few minor exceptions. For example, that brilliant display comes at the cost of less-than-ideal battery life. It’s not perfect, but overall, the IdeaPad S940 won’t likely disappoint.

  1. I’ve just watched a review comparing the sound quality of this to the MacBook and he said the sound quality was rubbish in comparison

  2. Slick looking device with a poor ergonomic keypad, and horrific battery life. The shitty battery life alone is a deal breaker IMO. Thanks, but no thanks.

  3. If you're looking to purchase this device in the US/CA and have any type of inquiry, feel free to reach out to me at my email: rcolby@@t to make sure you get the right device for your needs, or any device from Lenovo. 🙂

  4. I'm looking to explore back into the Windows world….and whatever I buy I want it to have the specs needed for the Your Phone app. I know the screen mirroring isn't out for everyone yet on an Android phone but it will be within the year I'm sure. I'm just not clear on the Bluetooth Low Power Specs needed for this functionality(or how to check when buying a laptop). If I get a Windows laptop I want it to have it so it is future proofed for that functionality.

  5. So this laptop have 3 usb C, one for charging, but the thunderbolt capable ones are the other two? This kind of laptop is perfect to use with external usb-c monitor that charges and send video at the same time, but if for that laptop charging and video capability are splitted on different connections, it kills one of the main advantages.

  6. Everyone complaining about the 16 by 9 display. All 3 by 2 does is add black bars on videos. Ya you can see like one more line on Google docs but you can scroll on Google docs

  7. Web browsing using wifi. How many hours does the battery last 100% to 15%? (Im looking for the best laptop to use on battery all the time. I dont use while charging since I travel a lot

Edit: after reading description I dont like this laptop anymore. Bad battery due to the display.

What laptops would you recommend me with best real battery life?
